TWO10 Season and Races
What does the TWO10 NICA season look like?
Off-Season
May-October
Off-season is a good time for coaches and students to let their bodies and minds reset.
There are other mountain bikes races including Trek Off-Road Series, TMBRA, SAKOB Triple Threat, and other events students and families can do on their own.
Some students take on other sports that help balance out the body and help prevent burnout and overtraining.
Pre-Season
October
TWO10 activities start popping up in October. These activities often include team kick-off meetings, recruitment events, information sessions, equipment checks and try-it-out rides.
Team practices can begin November 1.
Practice-Season
November-January
Regular practices for all athletes fully registered in Pit Zone. Practices focus on building mountain biking skills, fitness, and team culture through a mix of structured drills, on-the-bike games, and trail riding.
TWO10 ensures all coaches and riders are registered Pit Zone and team snap. Coaches and parents order team apparel including race jerseys and practice shirts.
Race-Season
January-May
Practices are in full-swing twice a week!
The first race is in late January or early February. The six race series wraps up in late April or early May.
Race weekends are pack with family-friendly activities including NICA Adventure, GRIT, volunteer opportunities, and TWO10 activities.
Coaches and students pre-ride the course on Saturday and students race on Sunday.
